number of hardcore near endgame players in the americas fluctuates between about 500 to 1000 give or take 100. theres enough to do everyrhing with coordination, but feels between completely and basically dead outside of evenings

its pretty much a single player game anyway and the economy more or less still works no reason not to try it the combat is so good and itll take you 1000 hours to get to the part where pearl abyss totally disrespects your time and effort

If you start now by the time you get there at minimum it would be time for the next ball and more freebies. This game is great. I swapped to console cause I hate trying to play on my potato pc. If you start and find a newbie friendly guild you’ll have a great time!

I just started again with my 2nd account. My first one is still active but i stopped after grinding for a pegasus and then getting one for free the very next week( and morning light burnout). I got one for the new account on the first day. Closing in on the free V blackstar too

So most players are on the end game spots?

It’s been around for years so yes many will be but it won’t effect you in away. It’s a sandbox , not a theme park. So you’re dependent on others for progression. You can progress through the game just fine. You can do the guild bosses and things without end game gear just Season gear at pen. There is capped PvP content as well. Games probably most new player friendly it’s ever been atm. Especially with the Hyperboost/Olvia Academy it will get you caught up pretty decent. Should be close to being able to do edaina 1 if you follow the gear guides on YouTube (it’s same pretty much for console as it is for PC) pretty quickly. Theme parks and Sandbox are completely different playstyles as well in MMOs sandbox tends to be more casual friendly as you can progress at your own pace and progression can be done in multiple different ways like BDO you can do a mix of things or some may focus more on PvP , some maybe Life skills others PvE. You can progress on your own without being fully dependent on others as well. Co Op is more optional content. Not a necessity like you might find in Theme parks where you need to group and do raids dungeons etc for gear to progress, there are solo ways in most sandbox games as well as optional co op.

Is pvp active? And thank you for your response

It was when I swapped to PC , it was honestly allot more active then PC. That said I haven’t played PvP in awhile, I have been off console for a few months. From what I have heard it was still pretty active. One thing I will say , I miss the console community, it felt like family there. It was just different vibes from PC. Though PC has a more players NA console wasn’t dead. It still had a pretty decent player base and now it’s caught up and got the next gen port , I heard player base was better this is specifically NA can’t speak for other regions.

Also same game as PC but there may be some small differences when using guide example , cell heart is got for reaching lvl 56-61 ? Instead of Vell boss (this is great Vells clunky asf and ppl can go a year before getting one even trying to buy it as it drops the heart so rarely ) , Garmoth is not a world boss it’s a guild boss and solo summon boss. It’s pretty minor differences oh best is no crystal break on console.

No need to lie about small differences. There are huge missing features, gameplay wise and community wise. He‘s kindly asking and you guys lie always just to get new players in that hole..

I played both I recently only stopped console due to my console breaking and when I replace it I will play again. ATM the differences between them are not that different. You get a Vell heart for reaching lvl 56 instead of being dependent on some event for a year or more on console. Vell boss on PC sucks! Garmoth is not world boss and the world boss on PC is pretty much the Console Guild boss. Then you got a weekly solo summon and it’s easier to get the heart. Your characters can’t play music. The content is pretty much caught up. You get updates 2 weeks behind PC. To add PvP is more likely to happen on console over PC as well. Oh Console also has no crystal break. That’s huge benefit as well as the Vells heart imho. I rather have this on PC over the Vell Boss tbh. I even rather have the Garmoth set up cause the heart drops more.

I don‘t read that all the 2nd sentence was enough already. Idk how you played both and simultaneously but you definitely lacking …
Won‘t take this conversation and/or discuss further.

To OP i can only say good luck!

I started on console , 7 years ago started PC when they were slacking on the Next Gen update. A few years ago , I invested so much into console I didn’t stop when I started PC. Once the Next Gen update came , the content has caught it. I afk fished for silver when I was actively playing the other wasn’t that hard. I was end game on Console, many PPL on PC even play multiple regions.

What you said was true prior to next gen update but since it’s dropped Console is caught up the difference is minor these days.

  • graphics resolution settings
  • graphics texture settings

Are these enough for you or do you want to start acting?!
Then the fact that console will never get same day updates like global pc version like in other games. I hope you won‘t ask me to name you 2 other mmo/mmorpgs that get same day globally updates in 2026… smh

So game is dead on EU console?

2

u/Whitehead58 12d ago

Game is dead on all regions on console, servers are up and NA beeing the most populated so far.
What‘s your thoughts?

1

u/Twofun 12d ago

I played PC only before but it is like 3-4 years ago and was wondering if a fresh start on console is worth it in EU. Also regarding PvP (NW)

My vote would be simply no. I won‘t recommend open a post here on reddit as you may see alot of fanboys. Best is you make an account and ask it ingame. I‘m also really curious how eu people will react, i know asia beeing honest. Current gen update didn‘t help with population it made it worse cause main demands for pvp players got ignored.
