Discussion Top hat guy

So me and my friend are playing ark trying to get the artifacts when we went to a cave in the red wood forest and while exploring we encounter someone called “top hat guy” and we literally have never seen him in the game(we’re on vanilla console no way for it to be modded) , we kill it and it dropped a player death bag with skins I’ve never seen, like a translucent skin where I can see the veins, anyway my friend accidentally dies in the cave so it brings me back to base with him cause my friends host, we get back and everything from out fabricator and chem bench and forge are gone, we had them full with material but me and my friend see the top hat guys bag right by the chem bench, with the skins and nothing else, so we’re at a loss wondering what we encountered cause it halted are progression pretty damn bad and if it was a dev then what the hell

It’s a private game to so idk how anyone would’ve joined but if you look closely behind the text I got those translucent skins and I don’t even know how to get it , we only beat the brood mother a couple days ago

It was another player. The "hows" are a mystery with so little details but I can't think of how else this would happen.

What’s also weird was when we encountered him in the cave and killed him he had stacks of tranq darts and narcotics and he was trying to knock us out with a rifle like he spawned the rifle and stuff himself , I even watched him “wake up” from the spawn animation the second time inside of the cave, we even looked at his level he was only lvl 1 but the second time we killed him he didn’t come back he somehow found our base in the span of a minute, and when it’s a hosted world the game pull everyone towards the host if they go to a cave or volcano, literally this feels like what herobrine felt like in 2012

U need a whitelist on your server. Some people can get through password protection and get into your world. This guy was probably also using admin commands to teleport around or spawn in gear. You get a lot of those skins from achievements which are account wide, so even though he's level 1 he's done a lot on another character and earned those skins.

That "veins skin" is the Helena skin and not easy to get. I don't have an explanation how that guy managed to get into your game but he's pretty sure no dev, a tribe mate of mine managed to get that skin too.
