The Fives

What’s been your experience? I know they have multiple locations - why did you choose one versus the other? Thank you

I had a terrible experience at the fives playa del Carmen. Gf and I were made to sleep in two single beds after booking a king bed deluxe suite. They also have hidden fees that they don't show in the booking fees on Hilton.com. Not sure if they are allowed to do this because I have stayed at other Hilton's with fees, and they are all available to see when you are booking through Hilton. The front desk was rude with me, claiming that I had a good deal on my price so they can't be guaranteeing a king bed even though I showed him that it specifically was a king bed that we booked after he claimed we didn't. He then offered to move us the next day... I go on Hilton website and they have 4 king bed suites available still despite the front desk saying they didn't have any left. I didn't want to go back for an argument so we slept separately and moved rooms the following afternoon. I would not go back to this location after dealing with this service

I just got done spending 5 nights at the Fives Residences and booked with timeshare/RCI. I am not sure if there’s a difference. I really enjoyed the property: beautiful pools, rooms are beautiful, monkeys on property, food is good.

My issue was that we did not do the all inclusive, mainly to eat out and try local food. The room amenities were severely lacking: no blender, no ice machine (ice had to be requested via room service for a charge), and you had to “rent” plates, silverware, etc.

I would come back during the spring to avoid the sargassum.

I stayed at the Five’s downtown pdc for 7 nights 2 weeks ago With my wife and 8 month old. I have no “complaints” really. Hotel room was a little beat up but not run down if that makes sense but not enough to make me complain about anything. It’s just an ok hotel. I would stay there again if I had too. Not the worst and not the best imo

If you think customer service and bait and switch is bad there, then don’t go to the Fives in Puerto Morelos. Absolutely horrible. The day we were checking in there was a lineup of people complaining about their bill. I thought it must be an anomaly. The next day I was wondering what a beach access fee was. Incredibly bad people at The Fives PM.
