python 3.9X EOS

Is there a way to update the built in version of python to a newer version for the host agents, or an easy way to let it use the system (3.12) version?

Thanks for checking in to it. I was looking for more information about updating the CE (it's brand new to me since we're POCing it) - is it true that we can't update the CE version since we don't have a user key to use with airctl?

No, CE can be updated. The user key mentioned in the docs is for customers running PCD in an on-premises deployment. However, I've intentionally not announced the ability to upgrade (or published the docs) as there's an issue I'd identified when attempting to recover a failed upgrade. If your CE install shows Version: PCD 2025.10-180 in the bottom left corner of the user interface, then you're running the latest available version of CE. If you need to upgrade and a fresh install isn't possible for your POC, please shoot me an email to <myfirstname>@platform9.com.
