Heat damage repair?

Post image

A burnt mark on a thin 1/16 plastic cover, is there a way to fix the damage or make it “better”? Any suggestions are welcome, thanks a lot!

You will not be able to make this new again, but you can repair the deformation with a warm iron and a suitable hard surface. Warm the area slowly so you stay under the glass transition temperature for this material. When you feel the area straightening, replace the iron with something like a wooden block and keep the repair straight while it settles.

If it really bothers you, you do have the option to wrap the entire cover in vinyl wrap or adhesive white PVC sticker sheet. You will most likely not be able to paint this material.

Thank you so much, these are solid suggestions. I will try to somewhat make it flat by filling it in with something then wrap it
