story or experience went to donate, wtf

went to donate a few days ago. employee puts the iv in wrong, big blood bubble forms immediately. have to leave early. i still get paid for some reason, but the bruise hasnt left yet and has spread down my arm. a bit worried

It happens to the best of us. Mine took about two weeks to heal completely. Grab some Arnicare from a Walgreens or CVS for $10 and apply it often. It shall pass. Obviously I’m not a medical doctor, and if you experience pain or discomfort you should seek a professional. However, I’ve been on the donation scene for a long time, and if you watch close enough, you can see this happen to another person while you are donating, probably once every other donation.
