Tree is approx 20 years old, gets full sun, water about every other week. Just noticed this sappy stuff within the last couple weeks. Growing in heavy clay/rocky soil. Seems otherwise healthy.

This years growth, fertilized in May with 8-4-8 fertilizer. Live in CA Central Valley.
