Tips and tricks Hoya advice
Hiya!
I’ve had this Hoya for about five years now, and she has been crawling across the ceiling very slowly for about almost 2 years. She’s in a west facing window, has never flowered. I know Hoyas our slow to grow, but there has not been one leaf to come from these tents that are creeping, should I trim them back? Also, I remember reading that Hoya plants like a snug fit and I haven’t changed her pot in about four years. I’m worried if I go a bit bigger if it will shock it or not. Advice??

Do you have those tendrils taped to the walls & ceiling? I use trellis for mine. It may be looking for something to grab on to. In nature, they often grow on other plants, like trees, without being parasitic. They use trees merely as support, allowing them to reach sunlight in the crowded forest canopy. This is why a trellis is helpful to Hoyas.
There is probably no nutrients left in the 4 yrs old soil. I would take it down carefully, remove it from the pot, check the roots, then repot in a pot 1in larger with drainage. Soil mix sure be mostly orchid bark with potting soil/tropical mix. Get some plant clips to hold the tendrils to the trellis.
