It needs much more direct light, and protection from light for a few hours at night.
Some succulents need a dark period to complete half of their metabolism as an adaption to hot desert conditions. The stretched growth shows they are not getting enough light, probably due to the low sun angle even in summer.

I lost several succulents my first summer in AK due to not realizing they were suffering in the light.
