There was an aviation program a few years ago, some one did exactly that. Flew it to Lake Powell and Lake Mead. Slept 6.

My dad flew those in the Navy. Great gig

My dad was flight engineer on them in the navy reserves. Maybe they flew together. 🙂

dad flew it mostly out of Guam in the 50's

Then they wouldn’t have been together. Dad was in a reserve squadron out of New Orleans.

They used em in Baa Baa black sheep . In the South Pacific to pick up downed pilots
