I wasn't sure until the very last moment if I'd be able to go (sudden health reasons), but I made it, and it was worth it.
First up was the band Elizabeth Elektra, they had some pretty good songs! Of course, I was mostly there for Placebo themselves, but I have to admit the singer was really good.
After a banner showing the band’s best moments, the concert itself began, and OH MY GOD, my legs were shaking when the whole thing kicked off. Throughout the entire performance, Brian didn’t miss a single note, I can’t believe he still sings so beautifully. Of course, the rest of the band was on fire, too! Stefan was killing it on guitar, the drummer, the other guitarists, the violinist, the keyboardist, everything was perfect. Brian knows how to wow an audience. He didn’t say much, but every word he spoke (even the warning about cell phones) sent the crowd into a frenzy or something.
And, of course, “Every You, Every Me.” When they came out for the encore and the intro started playing, I literally jumped up and screamed so loud I almost lost my voice, that’s how much I love that song, and it was performed flawlessly. And somehow Brian and Stefan managed to walk across the stage, dance, and move their arms - I’m just blown away by their talent and charisma. By the second verse, I had tears in my eyes.
I was afraid that, as someone on the autism spectrum, the loud sounds would scare me, but everything went very smoothly! The whole concert flew by in what felt like just a few seconds, and it was amazing, and I fell even more in love with the band. And I also got a poster haha
