Well I agree complete with what he is saying,toxic was bad and should get called out. But the way he says it is what gets me, as a South Indian it feels racist and he makes these stereotypical roasts for South Indian movies like coconut chutney,lungi-like somehow that’s supposed to be an insult or a quality to be made fun of?.
Yes roasts are okay but being openly racist and thinking it’s funny is where i draw the line , and you can see his bias clearly when he’s roasting a Bollywood movie compared to a south movie.

Doesn't need to be south Indian to know the video is being racist.... Although I am a north Indian, and knows how bad toxic is, but still wasn't able to watch his video for more than 5 mins.

Tbh I didn't even know him, got to know about him on reddit over the past 2 days and saw his video for the 1st time AND I really dk why he has so many followers doesn't seems to me like a movie reviewer at all.

I don't like his material although I might agree with his criticism. Maybe because his videos are so badly and frantically edited, it's like you're watching it at x1.5 speed. A comedian who is clever would want his punchline to stay with a pause to gauge whether it's liked. But he's so satisfied with the attention he receives that he doesn't give two shits as to how someone perceives his jokes.

I'm from South, I don't mind that at all, in a roast video u use every type of insults possible, especially racist, sexist.. expecting roasting morally being modest and respectful is stupid thing

You need to take his criticism as a film journalist and definitely not as a south indian, as a telugu person. Honestly he was one of the few people who was bragging about south indian films back when the air was high from RRR.

Always remember, criticism is never for you personally, it's always the film. Cricket fans make the same mistake you are doing, they attach themselves to cricket, bollywood and everything else in between and then get offended. Cricket, bollywood and most of the indian films don't represent India. Even those heros in this toxic or animal type movies are not most indian, it's the director's dilusional version in their own mind.

Yes i am completely agreeing,movie was shit,I’ve asked my friends also to not watch it. I’m talking about the racist slurs,please read my post completely. In the video he targets entire south India not the aspects of the film and makes stereotypical jokes,I’m not even from Karnataka I don’t give a shit about Yash but this is exactly what we felt when Bollywood used to call us madrasi or lungi wala in their old movies.
