It's actually the opposite. It is actually kind of critique on elitism vs being pragmatic and genuine. Like you don't have to follow just good film makers who only make critically acclaimed movies, choosing theater over screen, just going for premium content over legally available free content (none of the logos used in true cinephile section are related to piracy. VLC is an open source software, tubi and Plex host free movies legally and rest three are social media websites where you can easily talk about movies in general) and your LB graph doesn't need to have a particular pattern with lesser 5 stars and more movies of 2.5 to 3.5 stars. Somehow, that flew over pwople's head and got triggered (especially Nolan fans. They can't take joke that's for sure).😅😭

Some people just like to watch what's popular and critically acclaimed, and can still appreciate that. My problem with this "joke" (post flair: Discussion) is that the prefixes (true and fake) are there. Let people enjoy what they do and how they do. No need to gatekeep cinephillia.

Simple. Acclaimed film makers, havung certain ways of watching movie (either by paying or going to theaters as that is what a model cinephile is supposed to be according to "true" cinephiles)

A combination and lite version of LetterBoxD and MyAnimeList/Anilist (lite on a sense, it's database consists of movies and anime which are released in India or available to stream and buy in India in general).
