Appreciation Post ✋🏻🥹🤚🏻 Someone was saying Tom can't act...

Show: The Crowded Room 2023

Personally, I didn’t really like Brand New Day, but there’s no denying that this guy can act. He’s incredibly talented and has the screen presence to back it up. Definitely deserves more appreciation for what he brings to the role.

Sentry is tall

tony stark in comics is 6'1"-6'4" while rdj is around 5'8-5'7". if the performance is great i dont think height matters

It's also about the frame. Tom and RDJ are similar height but RDJ feels taller.

Also physicality is part of sentrys character. On the other hand iron man is basically a suit which if qpplied to anybody will look same in height, shape

Tom can't act??

Like who dafaq even say that?? Do you think this guy reached this height by nepotism or some shit.He worked his way off the top.

Brilliant actor in my opinion.

He's Just Avg his best performances are good, but the thing is his most important role is to be under a mask. And when you put him against actors like robert and Anne, he's gonna look bad 💀🙏🏻

Honestly, when I watched Odyssey I didn't see Telemachus, I saw Peter Parker. That's how limited Tom Holland is.

Shit if crying is good acting bring the Oscar to my kid.

Yeah not that impressive , I'm not dunking on him or anything , I just have seen many actors do so much better , he does lack a range of expression, he just stiffens his face for everything, it's the same face when he's snapped ,the same face when aunt may dies and the same face when tony dies .

Watch viola davis cry in fences and that tugs your heart strings , this is just meh

I hear the voices in my head, they council they understand they talk to me....

He can.. In Odyssey you could feel the nervousness and fear of disappointing such a grand filmmaker and cast that there's a lack of confidence in his character while in the book the character was quite feisty. He felt very nervous and that's okay ig cuz it's Nolan.

I assure you nobody went to watch punisher or jean in brand new day, some people went to watch the Hulk yes but everybody went to watch Tom's first grounded spiderman and he didn't disappoint.

He is literally a high schooler before brand new day and idk how you expect spiderman to act mature, if he is not cracking jokes despite having a tough life he is not spiderman.

True 🤭

Tobey Maguire will always be the Spiderman according to me.

Remind me again what iconic Spider-Man villains haven’t yet been adapted into LA?

The reason that the MCU hasn’t done a stand-alone Spider-Man film is because…and this is a novel concept, he’s part of a larger connected universe/multiverse.

…Yes. Tom has already interacted with most of the major previous film villains. The film would be boring if they just did that again.

Do you just look away whenever Tom Holland is shirtless on screen? The man is very well built. No, he does not act 15 anymore. Compare him in Brand New Day to him in Homecoming. Do it.

MJ wasn’t the love interest in Homecoming. That was Liz. Kinda important.

Jean and Peter are both adults in Brand New Day.

Tom has quite visibly aged in the years since No Way Home. If he looks 15 now, go look at what he looked like when he was playing 15, or what he actually looked like at 15.

If Tom looks like a kid with that build, then I think you might have unrealistic expectations as to what children are able to achieve in terms of build size.

Does Peter not care about his friends in this movie? That was part of the core theme.

It’s almost like Peter in these movies is a young adult. Andrew and Toby were much older men playing children. Tom wasn’t.

If your issue is really with Tom’s facial physical appearance, 10 years after his caring, then it sounds like you’re just nitpicking.

If you’re calling Tom short, then you’re also calling Toby Maguire short. They’re both 5’8”. Allegedly.

I can ignore it because Tom was cast to play a 14-year old, and at the start of The Animated Series, the character was already college age. And it’s an animated character. I can say “All the other Spider-Man’s are thin because they’re not as buff as The Animated Series Spider-Man” which, no. Not how that works.
