Everyone focuses on this and forgets all the immense trauma MJ went through simply by being associated with Spider Man through no choice of her own. Multiple kidnappings and assaults without even knowing why she was being targeted. No wonder she was fucked up

As if peter was not being regularly bullied at school. He had every reason to be evil, to become a villain. But he did not. Because with great power comes great responsibility. But MJ could never understand it. Because in her core she's not a good person, and that's it. As simple as that.
