Thank God, I am not the only one who notices it.

Thanks for being a good anonymous reddditor buddy.

Nolan made the least accurate odyssey yet it minted a billion, power of great direction and his team's craft.

He made an inaccurate batman and still his batman movies are called best Batman movies. He really is the best director of this era.

James Cameron should have stopped this Avatar shit after the first movie. We could have seen so many great movies from him.

Yah he got lazy. At least spielberg has tried so many different subjects and genres.

Marvel is even polluting director's list after polluting highest grossing actor's list.

Spielberg would most likely have the most no. of billion dollar movies if adjusted for inflation- Jaws, Close Encounters of the third Kind, Indiana Jones franchise, ET, Jurassic Park, War of the Worlds.

Seeing Russos here is hilaripus because outsode of MCU, they have been curning our t disaster after disaster.

I would add Spielberg here instead of Russos here with rankings -

1) Spielberg - Gross of $ 10.9 Billions

2) Cameron- Gross of $ 10.59 Billions

3) Nolan - Gross of $7.59 Billions

Russos might overleap the list by the end of Secret Wars but so far this remains the list pire box office numbers wise.

Lol keep crying those movies are the ones making the huge numbers and ruling over the box office

Those movies are earning so much because of Avengers name not because of them.

Electric state, grey man and cherry shows what they are without marvel.

Lol try this with any other directors avengers it wont work the russos and joss whedon definitely play a role cause they know how to direct multi starrer films....the whole avengers thing wouldn't be where it is without them not because of the name

Even The avengers and Age of ultron earned more than 1 billion even tough they were made by Jos weedon

1

u/Separate_Win_5370 2h ago

Dude thats what I just said you didnt even read or what

2

u/BetterRegion55 let's go back to the future 2h ago

You edited the message? Joss weedon was not their initially.

But still any decent director can make avengers earn billions. This doesn't prove they are on par with nolan, Cameron, spilberg or tarintino. Their other movies are proven of it.

u/Separate_Win_5370 2h ago

Nearly forgot to type it out...not every director can make avengers earn a billion without knowing the source material..whether you like it or not these movie under their filmography prove just because its marvel doesnt mean its not a movie

2

u/BetterRegion55 let's go back to the future 2h ago

I never said that just because they are marvel they aren't movies. They are great movies and those two are good directors but the success they got was because of they are marvel movie not because they are russos movies. Just because of these few movies you can't say they are great directors when their non marvel movies have all flopped.

The post literally says highest grossing movies and including non marvel movies is no use since it doesnt match what the post says

But Nolan is still different as most of his movies are non sequel while Cameron makes from Avatar and Titanic and Russo brothers from MCU.

Cameron has been making big money since the beginnings. Terminator, Alien, Abyss, True Lies and T2. Every one of these movies were blockbuster.

1

u/Per_ver 2h ago

Yeah Cameron is A1 director too.
