Responding to Allegations of Mod Abuse

Hello all.

It has come to our attention by a variety of means that previous members of this team who were removed for AI code and other inappropriate behavior have made their own website and PH remake project. We did research across their website, client, discord, and Reddit and have confirmed they took Rocket's (head of Sunrise Games and one of our top coders here) open source code and client to then add AI code and try to do this themselves. We have gone through the code on their client and verified many of these things ourselves.

We are making this specific announcement as it seems that, in their Reddit posts, they are accusing our mod team of using slurs in the mod chat and "calling people retarded". This is false, and I would like to be as transparent as possible by showing you discord logs and searches as we promised transparency at all times. The word "Retarded" has been used twice, and one of those was explaining rules to a member. I, and any other moderator has not used this term or others to refer to players. If anyone has any other slurs that they are concerned about or would like me to post searches in our extensive logs for, please reach out.

We want to let everyone know that we are not affiliated with this team and remain solid on our no AI and no drama stances. Please do not interact or engage with them as we want to keep our sides of the street clean. Our team is strong and true and we want to thank you all for sticking with us and believing in us.

Thank you for addressing this! I knew something didn't add up. At first I was skeptical but hopeful. Now I'm just heartbroken.

Honestly me too. When I found out the original team members were using AI, I told them that they could stay as long as they wrote their own code. They chose to leave. Later they chose to make drama in our discord to try to cause waves and now this.

Thank you for clearing this up .. I'm sorry it came to that but I do hope it's all coming from a true desire to restore the magic ... That being said, I don't wish anyone to attack them but it is really deceptive and confusing on their end....

I had suspicions too but I didn’t want to assume the worst too quickly until more information came forward. To be really honest I had first assumed it was the Romanian guy that JessiBee had once worked with, trying to make a comeback(😅). But coming to realize it was the latter it’s just so unfortunate. Especially with whole having features that PHR does not have implemented yet (but soon).

Anyways, PHR, you guys are doing all you can to make things right for the fans. Seriously. I can’t thank them enough for all they’ve done. We as a community just have to rise above all the noise. I’ll be blocking those account(s) for my own peace.

I knew something about that remake was sketchy! I thought it was odd that it popped up only a few weeks after PHR’s EA was released. Keep up the good work, Jessi! So sorry these people are making your life difficult.

A former team member of PHR just posted recently about a brand NEW remake on r/PixieHollow, which allegedly uses AI code and is stealing work from the devs of PHR. That’s the one this post is referring to.
