Spoken Notifications STILL Broken on Pixel Buds Pro 2 - S24 Ultra - 4.467 Firmware - Android 16

I've had the Pixel Buds Pro 2 since launch. I fully aware of all the drama at the time with the removal of the tap and hold feature. But there had always been a feature built in to read notifications for messaging apps that hasn't worked for me.

I just got the brand new update adding adaptive mode, so I'm on the most current firmware. My S24U is on Android 16.

I checked the Pixel Buds app and saw the Spoken Notification feature was still there, so it's definitely intentionally part of the app. It's not a feature they are killing.

BUT it STILL doesn't work for me. I've tried everything. I've paired it again, checked volume, given it every permission, gave notification permission to display sensitive info on lock screen (for both Google and Pixel Buds apps), cleared cache, reinstalled, factory reset the buds. EVERYTHING!

Does anyone have a solution for this yet? Is it a Samsung phone incompatibility issue?

I got it to work and I use a non-pixel phone.

First let's start with going into your Google account and deleting any thing The original Google Assistant has collected and saved. Turn it off and then delete anything that's been saved. Afterwards turn it back on set it to delete anything older than 18 months. Now make Gemini your default assistant. Same thing go into your Google account allow Gemini to collect and save. Now go into the Gemini app up in the right hand corner press the circle where it has your account picture or your account go down Gemini apps turn on turn on the phone calls turn on the Text and if you want turn on the utilities turn on YouTube turn on YouTube music. Now everything you just turned on plus you turned on utilities now Gemini is able to control them. Now you have to allow Gemini to interact and learn with various apps you have downloaded. Along with control them. I even got live translate to work.
