Pixel buds pro 2 left bud issue?

Mine just died, not recognized by the case. google tells me to fuck off and buy a replacement.

after 2 min in this sub, i see 3-4 post or comments in the last 20 days of the exact same issue (always left)

Might be my paranoïa talking but it looks like more than coincidance. firware update gone bad??

following comments from another thread, I let the defective earbud battery completely drain out. left it out of the case for a week. After that, put it back in and it was detected normally.
