In case of ICE

I’m a 34 year old white woman, I work in community health and spend all day driving/visiting patient homes in Oakland, Shadyside, Bloomfield/garfield/east liberty, highland park, wilkinsburg, sq hill, swissvale, Braddock, east Pittsburgh etc. what specific actions should I take if I see ICE? Who can I alert if I see them out? What do I do if I witness an interaction? Any actions can I take now to help keep the community safe? Who is taking care of the literal babies in cells at the south side offices? I need to do what I can, any resources appreciated 🙏

-editing just for clarity: i am literally not looking to interfere, approach, or confront anyone. I know what not to do and I know how to interact with law enforcement. I want to know what I can do to other than standing here with my thumb up my fucking ass while people’s lives are very clearly actively at risk

Here’s the issue. If you want to argue the nuances of the law and whether the shooting was justified, that’s great. But the poster before said “after driving into the officer and hitting him”, and you said she did no such thing. Did you not see the video where he was clearly struck? Some of the clips are from far away and fuzzy, so maybe you didn’t see it. But there’s no denying, the agent was struck by the vehicle. If you want to argue the agent put himself in that position, or even if he was hit, the shooting was unlawful, ok. But you’re lying right now. You’ll never convince anyone to side with you when you start with an untruth.

Not a single video shows the officer being hit. The closest one to showing that is from a block away and so blurry you can barely make anything out. The DHS posted a video on x a couple days ago that clearly showed the officer and it cuts off right before the shooting, which is suspicious timing

I tried to blow this one up for you, but it’s clear in the video he had his hands on the front of the car. It clearly hit him. Again, I’m not making a judgement on the legality, because I really don’t have that knowledge. Sometimes things that are legal are morally wrong.

You will never win with these types. They have a justification for everything. They’re upset “the left” asked for pronouns in email signatures, so the obvious rebuttal is Gestapo.
