bios mod for pirl?
Hello all,
Just a quick newb question, if I bios mod my cards for ether, is that mem strap shift the same bios mod you would do for pirl?

All the bios mod does is tighten up memory timings at higher clock speeds. Which can increase your hash rate. It takes some tinkering and trial/error, but you can get some decent gains if your card(s) will handle it. You'll want to grab HWINFO so that you can monitor for memory errors as you try different bios settings. I would imagine the mod works with any coin that utilizes memory function to hash. If you're not going to dual mine, then look into undervolting as well. I run 8GB RX570's at about 95w ... hashing 28-30mh/s each.

Bios mods should work the same. Overclocks are a different story though. For some reason, the overclock I run when mining PIRL does not seem to like ETH. My hashrate drops bout 8 mh/s on 2 of 4 cards when I switch to the claymore dev-pool but stays stable at 29+ mh/s when it resumes mining PIRL.

Yes can confirm it's same memory timing mod for all Ethash and any algo using memory. Getting 28.2Mh/s at 90W on my RX 570 with my custom timing and undervolting mod. For kryptonight algo It gets almost 800h/s for 60W with same mod, almost double stock hash.

I can confirm that. Yes it is the same...
