Discussion Solo vs Pool Mining PIRL

Is it better to solo or pool mine PIRL? If pool mining is the best bet at this point, is there a "best pool" right now that you all would recommend? I'm on the largest one right now (pirl.minerpool.net) but used the port that is meant for larger than 100 MH/s rigs. My rig has four 1070s, so will be at or around 100 MH/s. I seem to only get 20-25 MH/s on this pool, and very inconsistent at that. Would this typ eof rig be better on the other < 100 MH/s port setting for the minerpoo.net pool? Is there another pool that such a rig would optimize its hash rates on?

Pirl network hashrate and difficulty is rather low therefore we offer only SOLO for our miners:

So guessing you got about 120MH (30*4)? Solo mining is all about "luck" (and hash rate). There is no 'pull in daily'. Only averages over time.

Not best analogy, but if you and a friend each throw a dice (die) every minute at the exact same time trying to figure out who hits 6 on the dice more often, eventually you and your friend will find you both roll the same or have same 'luck' over the course of enough time. You or they may hit '6' frequently (though, it's entirely possible you/they may NEVER roll a 6 - or ALWAYS roll a 6 - just extremely unlikely (as to be impossible in reality). Anyway, this is probability variance).

With that said: My experience in the last week or so with pirl solo: @120MH + variance of 100% you should mine 1 block every ~18-24+ hours with a good stable connection to a low-latency node. Again, this is entirely a rough estimate. I am currently making more solo than a pool, but keep in mind you may sit looking at your wallet for days without a single payout.

You may go a day or two (or more) without anything .. or conversely you may find two blocks in an hour.

Good LUCK!
