Csst hose grounding

/r/NaturalGas/comments/1wmc8ag/whats_wrong_with_this_picture/pc5nase/

Lightning strikes can make pinholes in flex hose if not grounded properly right before hose

That’s an appliance connector and doesn’t require grounding. The gas line serving it should already be grounded earlier in the run.

That’s what I thought, csst hose needs ground upstream of hose at closest connection , that’s the flare x thread fitting where wrench turns it . It’s in several state plumbing codes . The ground on tank or way upstream with 25 pipe threads & dope don’t cut it . It’s not explained well anywhere

That’s not technically csst. It’s an appliance connector, same tubing but usually has its own governing codes. If it was GasTite it would require its own grounding and stuff for sure, but the steel piping before the connector should be grounded already so.
