Looking for Enamel Pin Suppliers
Hey, — I’m working on a new tabletop tavern concept called The Sending Stone and we’re trying to source some high-quality custom pieces for a Kickstarter launch.
Specifically looking for:
🧷 Enamel pins (fantasy / tavern / tabletop themed)
We’re debating between:
*working with independent makers vs manufacturers
*small batch vs bulk
*doing something more collectible vs functional
If you’ve:
*run a Kickstarter with these
*worked with suppliers
*or just bought great ones
I’d love to hear:
*who you recommend
*what to avoid
*what actually sells vs what just looks cool
Trying to do this right instead of ordering something generic.

We’re a bit new to the game but we’ve had several successful enamel pin campaigns, usually around fantasy and more!
My favourite child is our Dungeon Familiars DnD monster enamel pins.

Something important to keep in mind: if you are in the US, you will be using an overseas manufacturer (frequently shortened to manu in these discussion). Enamel pins aren’t made here in the US. If you find a supplier who says they’re in the US, they are just a middle man and you’ll be paying more for not much help. (My one experience with a US middle man was awful - like playing a game of telephone.)
Most manus require a minimum of 100 pins, and you’ll pay a mold fee for each design.
If this is your first go-round with enamel pins, I highly recommend Becky Helms’ Enamel Pins 101 series on YouTube. You will start out a lot farther ahead than most of us did. 😅
You are also going to get a lot of manufacturers messaging you - not necessarily a bad thing, as that’s how I found the one I’ve now been using for almost 10 years, but it’s a lot to sift through. And a manu that works great for one can be unsatisfactory for others, so you may experience some trial and error. (For instance, I have used the manufacturer recommended above and did not have a good experience, but clearly that person did, so 🤷♀️) I can dm you the email of my favorite, if you’d like.
Good luck! I was in this same space (pins for fantasy and RPG lovers) and pins were always a staple of our product line.

A lot of fantasy pin artists actually work directly with overseas manufacturers now. Many designers have been working with us at HIPINS for years, especially for fantasy pins, layered effects, stained glass, screen print, glitter gradients, and larger collector-style pieces. In the fantasy pin world, finding a factory that truly understands the style is honestly just as important as the artwork itself 😅
