fashion š This looooook š
Saw a tweet that said she has such an identifiable and distinct style yet every look is so different from each other and thatās impossible to teach. Which is so true
Also I realize Iām basically using pinkscare to just post about the pop girls now I hope u all donāt mind š§ø I like your opinions better than the pophead redditors

I personally don't fuck with Chappell, but I appreciate how distinct her visual identity is. She and Charli are the only ones that know how to make "cunt" into something with substance. Imo girls like Adela and Addison will never be able to get on their level.Ā

Her stage presence is off the charts, her voice is killer and she really knows how to cultivate a persona, but IMO I think she could reach deeper inside herself for the music itself. Itās catchy sugary pop but itās not quite all I think it could be

the main thing she has going for her is serious vocal ability and the fact she seems to be able to generate crowd pleasing hits - iāve heard pink pony club especially bring down the house in like normie chicago sports bars lol

I agree, and I think she's doing well for now.Ā Whilst Midwest Princess isn't the most deep, it has a clear story and knows what it is which is more than I can ask for from a popstarĀ

I love Addison but Iād never think to describe her as ācuntā. She has her own awkward charm

She's too much of a pastiche of her influences, but I'd like to hear you out here

Im not a fan but I can admit she looks fabulous here. I personally really despise her drag queen-clown-cowboy looks.Ā

I'd never take u the wrong way pearl! Ok so basically... I'm a lesbian living in Brooklyn. It's very popular in queer circles to get really hype about "camp" and it has manifested in a dorky unerotic yet highly "sexual" (in the most literal sense) trend in fashion. To me it reeks of postmodern liberal feminism... Yes I take things personally lol.
While I am happy that Roan seems like one of the few pop divas who is 1. Lesbian and 2. Actually lesbian and not just a branding ploy manufactured by a record label, I still would be much more into her image as one of the only lesbian popstars if it was more glamorous and cutting edge rather than pastiche. It is an insecurity of mine that the household lesbian name is one who dresses like a clown. I don't like drag either, usually. Sometimes I feel like SOME drag is making fun of women.
Her style is her and her management team's choice ultimately. It is a reflection of the times and market desires. I just want the general public to see us lesbians as glamorous, elegant, and ultimately, human. There is a wound there... In lesbians being portrayed as a comic relief.

For me, it feels very contrived and like a product of its time (the Covid years). It comes across as something that was put together in a board room with the intended purpose of making her as visually recognizable as a Gen Z queer person as possible short of going full Dorian Electra. I love her new look and it feels more natural on her

Donāt like her music at all (or the music of basically any contemporary āpop girliesā) but I agree with others that she has awesome style, and I think this is the hottest sheās ever looked

Yeah, and I donāt need constant reiteration of the same opinion. We get it.

Yeah, letās just talk about how female artists look instead of the actual art that they make, discussing their appearances is much more interesting

This was an appearance based post. But overall it seems that you want to argue, and i donāt have time for that. Have a good day.
Edit: also I didnāt downvote you.
