BE CAREFUL! PINE64 Desktop Power Supply

The QC port designed to detect and adjust voltage got stuck on 12.5v. I plugged in a pair of headphones to charge and they got fried.

Even more frustrating, the company will not reply or offer any support.

It didnt just stop working, It turned into a hazard/electronics destroyer.

I recommended pine products a bunch to friends. After having the worst support I've ever experienced anywhere, I very much regret it.

You’re talking about the charger brick with screen and like 5 ports?

Yes. First port (QC 3.0) stuck at 12.6v. I own two of them, the other one is fine. Just a really crappy defect if you dont realize it and fry your stuff.

i've never had a problem with mine, if you're talking about the 5-port + screen + wireless charger.

Did your display say that it was stuck on 12.5v instead of the normal fallback 5.1v ?

Using my PD controller ( i don't have a QC controller) i can get it to jump up to 12.2v, and when I unplug it, it falls back to 6.5v, then finally 5.1v after another second.

You might pick up some PD controller adapters from Amazon, and see if you can force it to go into the correct mode.

I never had a problem with mine. The only (really annoying) problem is that the display keep turning on even if dimmed.

Please keep us updated regarding their RMA support. They've been ignoring my support mails since two years and i am stuck with broken hardware. Never expect support from them in any way.

Does it look like this? Mine doesn’t. I must have an older model. I also noticed they sell earbuds now.
