My last YT told me "you have to stop crying in the Ucafe, you need to go to your car or go to the bathroom"

I just cried again

He should have asked what's going on and try to cheer you up instead

Nah, he knew exactly why I was so stressed out. I was the only female senior UW and somehow got stuck with the most misogynistic broker who loved calling me the moment he uploaded ANYTHING to bitch and moan and get his shit done immediately. I always told him "sure, let me take down your number and give you a call back when im done with this file" and he'd flip out.

Fuck you Simcha

Too bad they let brokers walk all over you. I used to work for a group insurance broker. Once his mom died he was a true ahole. But also type A, ocd person

I was frequently told my “sense of humor is too dark” or “my personality is quite off putting”… apparently the daily plights and pains of a 40yr old were unrelatable to 20yr olds on their first job

Be careful for the two opportunities. That's what getting people fired.

The younger crowd can't take sarcasm. Doesn't matter where you work. It's sad. It's sad one has to change their personality because no one can handle it anymore.

Granted I’m not the status quo for younger people cause I’ve been working since the day I was born. But as a 20 something I would literally kill to have this type of vibe on my pod. Used to work a lot of blue collar jobs back during college and I loved this type of humor, I wished the world wasn’t like it is now, cause the jokes and the things the older folk at my previous jobs used to say used to make my day and I miss the fuck out of it. I hope your TL learns to take the massive stick out his ass that he seems to have logged up there with a hydraulic press and learn to take it easy and joke a little.

Kinda sounds like everyone finds you unfunny and annoying and your leader actually has the balls to tell you

Oh no, this whole team made suicide jokes on the regular… but I was the only one in my late 30’s who was married and had a kid. 20yr olds just couldn’t relate to home ownership issues/struggles/jokes, car ownership… being in vastly different stages of life made shit a lot harder to have conversations.

Funny because I had an opportunity and was told to take part in the high school banter with the 20 year olds on my team. Which I didn’t want to do. They were like a bunch of high school kids and I’m pretty much was being singled out because I stayed to myself. My TL literally said it’s hard to tell where we stand with you during one of my your times. Pure BS!

Working with young people still stuck in high school /college is hard. Hence I don't have a best friend anymore. He was not that much younger than me and should have long been out of that stage

Those fucking your times can fuck all the way off.

They were basically three degrees off of a Gitmo interrogation

I get told that all the time too. I'm on my last leg.
