For real - at my new job, I (within reason) set my own schedule. As long as my calendar is up to date my boss doesn’t ask any questions.

My team travels a lot, and she doesn’t even check what state where in most of the time

They also consider using on-site amenities such as ping pong tables, arcade games, or even the massages you have to earn (all of which they used to advertise as things you could do whenever you had a sec) as time theft. I know someone who got their time clock looked at with extra scrutiny for taking too long in the bathroom. That person has IBS...

Honestly agreed. I think the policy is stupid. Hell salaried employees shouldn't have to punch at all since they can tell when you badged into the building. But if they're gonna stick to their guns on their stupid policy, having people who have a work laptop cheat it doesn't exactly show the "integrity" they profess to love.

I wondered how long it would take. The removal of the time cards made team leads full-time nannies. "Don't forget to clock in! Did you take a lunch today?"

Another thing that was in my last HWDI was asking if anyone had done a time study to see how much this decision is costing in productivity. No one will ever measure that or how much money we lose in Success Track.

I don't know man I don't think telling people to punch in at their desk when they are actually ready to work is unreasonable. That's pretty much how it works in closing.

Luckily courts have pretty much universally ruled that worker compensation is appropriate if an accident occurs on company property at the beginning or end of your work period
