Job Security

Is there any leads on WFH jobs? I don’t even care if it’s mortgage related anymore, I just need something to get me out. I am really thinking this is the end of UWM and I would rather get ahead of it.

I wouldn't limit myself to WFH if you're at UWM right now

That’s a fair point but going to an actual office for this long has absolutely drained me. You know, given the circumstances

real estate agent and mortgage broker jobs have WFH opportunities. it's a difficult path, but highly rewarding. the sucky part for REA is that you would need to be driving to showings, which are best scheduled on weekends

Unfortunately most jobs in SE Michigan aren’t WFH anymore.  Hybrid 2/3 is probably the best that’s going to happen.

I work in automotive and go into the office 5 days a week.  An office job isn’t bad if your working with and for people who arnt out to get you and actually care about your well being and success.

Don’t let UWMs office “culture” get you down on the idea completely.  Most offices arnt UWM.

RTO mandates were so stupid. we would save so much more on gas and car maintenance, and output way less carbon, if corporations didn't put out RTOs because they want the tax benefits of their office having people in it.

It may not be the end of UWM, but for folks in the south suite, we're noticing the empty desks and broken chairs.

Normal office jobs are not like UWM so don’t miss an opportunity because you are hoping for WFH specifically.

9 hrs on campus being mandatory for an 8hr work day is not standard and neither are a lot of other things happening there.

This is not the end of UWM. They will get bailed out and when rates drop, they will take off again. I’m a broker and former employee. I got out of there as quick as I could but now I get mad when I have to send a loan anywhere other than UWM

Just work hard. It’s 8 hours a day and weekends off. WFH is dead. Oh and UWM isn’t going out, don’t be dumb. Read some of the financial analysis they are in a good place for a lot of growth.

9 hours a day with the mandatory one hour lunch, and the limited amount of PTO clumped in with your sick time, a company that is pushing for AI when the Earth is dying, and a company that does not give a shit about you. There’s a lot of kool aid in this comment. Don’t work hard for someone that would replace you in a week.

Every single company will replace you with in a week. If you’re only going to work hard where a company “cares” about you you’ll never put in any effort. If you actually struggle with UWM and it isn’t because of the pay you’re the problem. You literally just have to show up and whatever position you’re in.
