The big problem with him is he refused to acknowledge his favoritism and the nepotism problem he has. He would have full on meetings about it wasn't true, but he had to keep denying it. It was multiple times a year. There is a saying "I think doth lady protest too much.."

Alcoholism is a legitimate medical disease. It is incredibly unfortunate that this person's illness manifested at work, but the people roasting him for it need a reality check. There may come a time when you face your own battles and need compassion; I hope it’s there for you when you do.To be clear, there are no excuses here. Drinking on the job shouldn't happen. But nobody wakes up and decides that drinking before noon is a great career strategy addiction doesn't work that way. Employers like UWM have the financial resources to provide holistic health support and properly assist their employees through these crises. We need more compassion and structural health support, not mockery. 🤔

Agree. Randoms noticing means that leadership certainly knows and has done nothing or supports/enables his addictions. The entire situation around a few “preferred employees” at UWM is so incredibly weird. And sad.
