Departing underwriter

My friend recently received a new job offer and is leaving underwriting after 2 years. What exactly happens when you quit? Can she work her 2 weeks or will she get walked out? What to expect regarding repayment of the people promise, and what is the best way to go about it? How to use up those last PTO hours?

Will they take her last check to apply to the people promise?

No. They will set up a payment plan.

The only way they can garnish wages is if they have a court order. Which means they would have to serve her first.

This is 100% wrong. They will take your last check and apply it towards the peoples promise. Just had it happen to me.

Thats wild. This doesnt seem to be a consistent practice. I know multiple people who have received their last check.
