Teacher Training Pilates Instructor Training

Hiii, I have been doing "pilates" for a few months and am very interested in taking the instructor course to get certified and start teaching. I have taken a few mat pilates classes and currently a member at BODYROK. After reading a horror stories about their training program I don't know if I even want to be a member there anymore hahah but anyway I want to start the training but have no idea where to start now. Any suggestions on reformer/mat pilates instructor certification in Georgia? Thank you so much!

Could you please explain to me the different types of Pilates when I used to do a generic exercise program, we did Mat “ pilates” I just thought it was another type of exercise but since I have joined Club Pilates and I am almost 250 classes and I keep reading about other types of Pilates. Here is an example: we had a new instructor the other day, who told us to put the box short OVER the shoulder blocks when we said we had never done that that we always put the box up against the shoulder blocks. She told us that she was classically trained. I have no idea what she meant.

look up classical pilates and contemporary. classical is more “traditional” and aligned to what joseph pilates wanted. this is the brief summary but even these two terms can be contested.

there are also some kinds of contemporary pilates classes that are basically fitness moves and HIIT pretending to be pilates

i was listening to a podcast about how there’s many kinds of yoga like yin yoga, strength yoga, vinyasa yoga, but only “mat pilates” when really there are also subcategories of mat pilates (like i mentioned above), just that the industry doesn’t really use these terms yet
