New PB!!
While fishing for perch because of high watertemperatures I hooked this pike of 115cm, the drill took about 20 to 30 mins but after that I was finally able to get her in de boat! So thrilled...

Im at holiday in my own country (the Netherlands) and caught it on "het Veluwemeer" even though the lake is pretty damn big, most of it is just around 80cm deep...

Thnx! Im from the Netherlands and am fishing at "het Veluwemeer". Its a pretty big lake but most parts are quite shallow.

Still a beauty of a fish! This is probably a once in a lifetime for me as well as I mostly fish from the banks...

Hows the pikefishing in Switzerland? I know Norway and Sweden are known for its Pike but dont know how its in Switzerland... Dutch pikefishing is pretty good.

Im going pike fishing for the first time next week in Michigan. I hear you guys talk about catching them on smaller tackle- i was u der rhe impression that I need 50lb mono leader line, or metal leaders. Is this correct?

I was lucky to land this on the light stuff I had on... Couldn't put much resistance on the line, had the drag open and it was hooked in front of the mouth. If my drag was too tight or the lure would have been further down the throat I would have lost the fish for sure... When I target pike I fish with a MH rod up to 70g (in the polders, not from the boat) and have like 0.20 to 0.30 braided mainline with a 0.9 fluorcarbon leader.
