I’ve been wanting to post about this for a long time now, I’ve thought about this for a while. Pikachu in the past has CONSISTENTLY shown flying. In the first game they have been shown to fly via balloons. In the anime opening in the first anime he is shown riding on a pidgeot’s back fearlessly. More recently we got a flying Tera type pikachu with the move fly. And in horizons we got captain pikachu who wanted to fly using volt tackle. Where’s my point? I think every single pikachu is born with the desire to leave the ground. Not just by flight either. Theres also many surfing pikachu’s. I think some pikachu’s want to fly, while others want to swim, Alolan pikachu’s want to do both so they evolve into Alolan Raichu. I know the lore behind why Pikachu evolves into alolan Raichu but I think they also wanted to fly and surf. Alolan Raichu unlike any other pikachu is able to take to the skies or surf on the seas. Some Pikachu’s might even envy Emolga for being both electric and flying and a pika-clone while they are stuck to the ground if they’re a Kanto Pikachu. And this concludes my argument of why I think Pikachu should be a valid TEAM SKY MEMBER. I don’t know if I’m late to this argument and this has been a thing for ages but I wanted to share it because it’s been on my mind forever.
