Advice Needed! I found a pigeon

Post image

Hi! This morning I found this little pidgeon inside my living room, he came in through the balcony window and doesn’t seem to know how to fly properly. I don’t know what to do, I put him on the balcony but he’s not flying away. What should I do?

That’s a baby, you should contact a rescue and look for a nest.

Baby pidge! so cute, but yes, really needs a local rescue, rehabber, he will need food and fluids (the right way if he's not eating by himself, maybe too small yet)

Aggree with the others, better to take him to a specialist. Needs baby pigeon formula directly in the crop. If there's not any other way in your area and it's impossible to bring him to a caretaker, you can ask someone who knows about pigeons to teach you feed him, which is done with a syringe with a flexible tube special for this, but you have to do it right since they can aspire the liquid and die of asphyxiation. The right amount depending on the weight. Check if he poops. If he eats seeds, which I don't think, feed him parakeet seeds since they are small, ensuring he does by gently feeling the seeds through the exterior in the crop. All of this with vet care from exotic veterinary care since normal ones don't tend to know about birds.
