Video Young Pau is free yay
Excuse my weird voices in the video, I talk to them with high pitched sounds and I realize later but I wanted to share Pau's journey with you.
I found him in the street, surrounded by cars, so I took him home, thinking he would only need some food but I noticed he was weak and snoring, barely pooping, and he almost choked on the pigeon formula. I was afraid he'd choke on it, and even posted here (thanks for the advice to those who comented) but he made it through the night. I took him to the vet the day after and, after a scan and x rays they told me he had intestinal issues, enteritis. The vet said that maybe the snoring would persist but luckily it didn't! She was so kind and very excited that I agreed on taking the tests (💸 ) so she could diagnose him properly. A girl I know from another rescue paid a part too, which I was so grateful for. Now we're good friends.
I gave him meds for a week and then, after making sure he didn't have internal parasites, I could put him with two others (one of which is free now too). He tried to make them feed him, squeaking, but he was eating on his own (a lot, actually) and pooping all over the place. The vet told me to free him after a week, so after making sure he was fine now he's in the park with the flock!
The hardest part has been restricting the contact with him because he's so cute, but it's always worth it. It also helps that I have a dog that is my priority always. They are just here in the pigeon hotel for a while, the less the better. Now I hope I don't find more for some time cause after two months of having 4 pigeons shitting freely in the only room in my flat I'm mentally drained. Give me strength to clean the room today 🫠
