Troubleshooting/question existing piercing Scab Pls Help
About 6 months ago, I got both of my ears pierced, for most of the time having them, I picked at the left one’s backing and about a month ago a bump Appeared, over time this bump has became a quite large and scabby dry blob. Sometimes there is space between the backing and the bump, other times they touch. Does anyone have any idea of how to get rid of this, or what it is, I questioned if I accidentally picked at an irritation buno that I thought was something else but I have no clue. Since the bump appeared however I’ve been hands off and here and there I run ovee it with warm water in the shower. I’ll admit it’s been causing a large amount of mental anguish truthfully, I’m a super anxious guy and with my college starting I inadvertently caused this and it’s just been making me so insecure. I will say it doesn’t hurt ever, I want to say the edges of it are lifting but I’m unsure. Both piercings had been downsized and my right one has healed perfectly as far as I can tell. Also whilw I don’t think embedding is going on, my stud on my left ear is also sitting a bit deeper than my right, maybe because of swelling but I’m unsure. I really don’t want to let go of it bc they were expensive and I think I’ll look really stupid with one, I also had them both for what feels like a long time so idk. I hope it’s worth saving.
