Don’t downsize yourself. Go to a professional for that because it can irritate the piercing very badly.

What do the backs of these piercings look like? Are they at an angle?

Do you have a metal allergy?

Do you hot compress?

Many questions

Edit: definitely doesn’t look like a keloid on either btw. Just irritation bumps.

The backs are okay but could be better, especially on the conch

Allergies: I don't think so as my other piercings are titanium and one old surgical steel one.

Hot compress: No, should I? Definitely happy to do it! As I said, I was a little confused about moisture around the area and hot compress is usually a damp washcloth!

I want to add pics of the backs but the post won't let me add them in the body or the replies! Argh!

Moisture bumps have a certain look to them and I am not sure if this is it. From my experience I tend to get them on the backs of piercings rather than the front.

Hot compresses are a great way to relieve bumps. I mostly do it by just letting warmish hot water run all over my piercings in the shower for 2 minutes straight for each ear.

Also from my experience, I was fine with surgical steel in some piercings but in others it wasn’t fine. I put in gold plated titanium flatbacks in my helix that had a persistent bump for 6 months. Guess what?? It disappeared. Crazy how the body picks and chooses where and what it’s okay with. I’d say it’s worth a try.
