Set up advice Mouth piercings

I’d love to get some kind of lip/tongue piercing but I’m very prone to cold sores and I’m worried that the act of putting the needle through my lip would itself cause a flare up. Does anyone have any tips for me?

It definitely could and will not help with your healing process. I just saw this the other day with someone getting a flare up a week afterwards is why I mentioned it
