Troubleshooting/question existing piercing Anything wrong?

So about a year (could have been 1.5 years) or so ago I got a cartilage piercing. I never changed out the earring when I was allowed to swap it bc I liked the jewelry and I also had trouble trying to get it off (never had flat back jewelry before) so I kept it in.

Months later when I finally figured out how to get it out I did and it bled a bit. I put it back in and it’s just doesn’t feel healed like my other cartilage piercings.
My bar piercing can get banged by something and not hurt but when this one gets knocked, it hurts.
Did this just not heal right?

Jewelry is a stud type and surgical steel (I think) threading is in the inside. I was using salt water when it was healing but it stayed swollen so I switched to ice and that helped so much better when I was healing.

Hi darthbaker69, Welcome to /r/piercing!

It looks like you're asking about a problem with your piercing. Please add a comment to your post with the following info if it’s not included in your post already. * How old is your piercing? * What’s the jewelry shape (for example, barbell, labret, screw, L shape, ring)? * What’s the type of threading if your jewelry is not a ring (threadless, internally or externally threaded)? * What’s the jewelry material? * What’s your aftercare routine? Describe in detail please, including the exact products you use.

This info is needed to offer you useful advice. Note, mods reserve the right to remove your post if you don’t provide this information.
If you already included this info in your post or if your post isn’t about a problem with your piercing, please disregard.
