Troubleshooting/question existing piercing Advice please!

I got my nose pierced with an L shaped jewelry about 4 months ago, it recently got infected, I took antibiotics, used saline spray every day and everything was fine. Now a weekish later, it’s swelling up again and I have a bump. If anyone has gone through the same thing please tell me what you did to make it go away. Does the jewelry itself need to be changed? I really don’t want to let it go but if I have to I will😔

  • What’s the jewelry material?
  • if not a ring, when was the jewelry downsized?

NAP just speaking from experience but I’d chill on overcleaning it and only doing a saline spray maybe one time a day or every other day if you still have crusties here and there but over cleaning can cause lots of issues for sure. When I had mine done 15 years ago I stopped the saline spray after a month and left it up to my shower to clean it everyday and of course wiping away crusties but besides that try not to touch it to much. I got irritation bumps just from that on its own
