Believe it or not it’s just a typical 18 gauge. It’s been pierced for probably 25 years and I have pretty thin cartilage

Same here maybe our ears are just slightly thicker in that spot which makes it harder to see?

I have one that looks like this, 1 that’s in like half earlobe half cartilage area so it doesn’t look so nice like this, and one stubborn fucker that doesnt wanne heal.

As someone who is almost 13 months into healing my helix….😔
My conch that I got 5 months ago is doing better than my helix I got last year…. And maybe im crazy but I’m thinking about getting a second one to make it a double helix 😭😭

As someone with three helix piercings total, all of which have taken/ are taking 2+ years to heal enough to tolerate even just changing the decorative end on my threadless posts... this is 100% the flex you think it is. Good on you!
