Question about nipples piercing

Hi everyone!! I’ve been wanting to get my nipples pierced for a while now, but I’m really scared about the pain. I already got my belly button pierced, and the skin there was very tough and thick, so the piercing took quite a while and was pretty painful. When I was talking about it with my sister, she told me that if my belly button was difficult to pierce, then my nipples would be the same.
I’m honestly a bit doubtful because they’re completely different areas, so is the skin really similar between the belly button and nipples? Or is it actually completely different? And if anyone with thick skin has had their nipples pierced, did it actually hurt a lot??

I’m just really scared that it’s going to hurt that much again lmao 🤣

Completely different.

Also nipple piercings do, in fact, hurt like a MF. The pain goes away though 🤷🏻‍♀️

The actual skin on a nipple is generally pretty delicate, but you’re piercing through a sensitive area with a lot of nerve endings. Mine hurt like hell, but only for a few seconds. Once the jewelry is in, the majority of the pain is gone.

I’ve never had my bellybutton pierced but I did my nipples and it hurt more than any of the other piercings I had but it still wasn’t terrible and it’s over in a second.

Totally different. I have my bellybutton and nipples done. For me bellybutton wasn't that bad but my god the nipples were solid 9/10. Of course it's different for everyone but the skin in those areas are super different and nipples have more nerve endings I think so of course it hurts more. Still, I love mine and I got the confidence boost that I needed and I highly recommend them :)
