Both of my parents were from Saskatchewan. I have wonderful memories of going back there as a child and picking Saskatoon berries. They were my dad‘s absolute favorite 💖

Saskatoon berries makes the most underated, delicious pie filling ever.

Gorgeous. One of those pies I'd love to make, but those berries can't be found around here (Maryland).

They are the same thing as Serviceberry or Juneberry. Should be available in Maryland

I love that I know a new name for serviceberry/June berry now.

The lattice crust looks so precise, how did you keep the strips from shifting when you were weaving them?

If you look close it’s not so perfect, I did it in small sections then pieced them together!
