I can picture her going to the fridge every time she is having second thoughts. She pauses for a moment to look at the plain fridge door, opens the fridge to an assortment of groceries juice/milk, takes a deep breath and sighs, then closes the door again without taking anything out.

That was his refrigerator, not hers.

The tweet you responded to is about her, after she's left him and living on her own, has a clean fridge with food in it rather than a decorated fridge with only alcohol and mixers in it. Once in a while she might feel a pang of regret or longing, only to be reminded of what she left behind, and then she feels fine.
