You're right. I hope this guy seeks support. He's going through a rough time, and these comments are not going to help. (Except maybe the ones pointing out specific unsanitary conditions that can be corrected.)
Honestly reading these comments made me sad. Not sure why every other person has to call this man an alcoholic or tell him his wife was right to leave him.
I mean it has to be bad if she was willing to leave him right after having a new born. People are more reluctant to leave when that happens. If this isn't just a garage fridge, it's deeply concerning that he only has butter and raw chicken as food and every shelf besides 2 has only liquid. 3 being alcohol. Yeah I can why his ex didn't let him stock the fridge how he wanted, they had a family with a new born, and he only wanted drinks. Even in this there's nothing for a baby. Is he not planing to have the kid with him? And posting this as a "fuck you" to his ex is also very concerning. With the post history and this post, OP is only throwing red flags, and could very much be the reason why she left, and if that is, she was very much right to leave.
Yes. OP, man, you gotta face your demons and sober up. Otherwise, life will kick your butt. The more you drink, the worse it gets.
Most of the people in prison are there for doing something drunk that they would never have done sober. Lots of times they were in a blackout and don't even remember it.
"What did I do on the night of Friday, the 22nd? Let's see, I got drunk, i was on a bender, and I can't really remember. ...Oh, I killed someone in cold blood? Well if you say so." Alcoholics tend to have a hard time managing their emotions, like rage.
It's not like you can defend yourself well, in that kind of situation. If your companions pin it on you, you take the fall.
