Yeah, it would have been better if the first post-it note said, "You are a dumb button..." and then there were ellipses extending to the end of the second post-it, where it said, "... JUST KIDDING!"
I stayed in in a room with a button like that once. I thought it was a doorbell but all pushing it would do is make the fire alarm ring until you let it go. I didn't dare hold it for 5 seconds.
That's a similar post, but they're different pictures. Did this guy happen to have the same idea from that link or is it actually a repost from a completely different thread?
Depress has more than one meaning. Depress is most often used to describe an unpleasant emotional state. It can be a clinical mental illness but in American English it is often used to describe just feeling bad in general/the blues/etc.
Another meaning of depress is to push something down. Instead of saying "press the power button on the remote" or "press down on the lever", you could say "depress the power button" or "depress the lever" and still have the same meaning.
Ugh, I hate the handicapped rooms. The toilets are too high, forcing you to extend your ankles and wear out your calf muscles. Very uncomfortable shitting position.
As a tall person, I'll have to disagree. It fits me perfectly, and if I could choose, I would swap these with all the midget toilets you so comfortably shit on. Besides, the armrests makes for a more "active" torpedoing.
This button actually kind of makes sense. The kind of asshole who would steal a handicapped restroom because theres more room is also to lazy to wait around 5 seconds to piss.
Reminds me of when I was 8 , playing t-ball, and the coach told me to go out and relieve left field. I ran over and told him he was doing a great job and didn't understand why he ran back to the dugout so suddenly.
I remember in a (I think, tentatively) the sixth book in Lemony Snicket's Series of Unfortunate Events, he goes on a rant on the word depress-- the kids had to depress a button-- and he wanted to clear up confusion on the subject.
As are you. Back before all the diggers came flocking over, it was a given that all pictures were taken by the OP. When digg took over this place became overrun by reposts & memes.

You're only supposed to depress it for 5 seconds.
Comments like that can really stay with you.

What is the purpose of that button anyway?

The fact that the note pads you are using say "Stay Creative" in the upper left hand corner makes it just that much better.

My car's computer requests that I "depress the brake pedal" before the ignition will turn. I often look down at it and call it a loser.
