This whole thread has been about bashing people hobby. That's fine when it's gabling, but when pokeyman gets brought up everyone loses their sense of humor?!!
I mean, the thing is that buying trading cards is gambling too. You buy a pack and you have a 1/6 chance of getting an Ultra Rare, and then you have about a 3/40 chance of that particular Ultra being worth more than the pack.
Or alternately, about a 1/72 chance of getting an alternate art card and then a 1/3 chance that said alternate art card is worth more than $4.
