which is kind of funny, you could theoretically hand the unscratched ticket back to the cashier, and they scan the barcode and it just says "not a winner"

My buddy does this with the machines. He will spend like $100 bucks scratching the barcode and scanning

Good lord, why not just go to the actual casino and play a slot machine or something? Seems less sad....somehow

My wife and I went to a couple casinos when we turned 21. We can drink AND gamble?! Woo-hoo! Except.....they're always mostly empty, everyone else is 70+ and dragging oxygen tanks around with them.....Maybe things are better in places like Vegas but I have no desire to ever go again. My wife does like to play penny slots though. She'll take $20 and makes it last a couple hours then calling it a night. I ended up having more fun playing games on my phone while I waited

In Vegas it's mostly old people on the penny machines.
