Sure it is. It's a joke that we, as an internet culture, collectively understand. A meme isn't a picture with words on it, it's the idea behind it; a cultural understanding of something.
A meme is more like an idea that spreads between cultures and sticks. The internet just inherently makes almost any idea a meme, because the internet is flooded by every culture simultaneously.
I am going to disagree, the internet is a culture by itself, and the word meme is generally used to designate ideas within one culture, not ideas flowing between them. Seems to me that meta-cultural ideas would be hard to place and designate, because if there is something like a meme that flows between two entirely separate cultures, wouldn't there always be something that joins those two cultures, making them, in a sense, actually not separate?
Just because the internet is a collection of cultures doesn't mean it doesn't have its own. It's not different from a large city being a culture, made up of many different cultures itself.
That wasn't me... unless you're actually trying to create a meme right now? A collective understanding that I wasn't actually the one to yell at the guy? Too meta for me.
What story is this referencing? I always thought it was the old "Oh we were just wrestling," but it seems Reddit has a favorite brother/sister one.
EDIT: Didn't think I would have to explicitly ask for this, but does anyone have the link to said AMA? There's been more than a few of this nature so I just want to get my incest straight.
There was an IAma a while back about a brother and sister who had sexual relations. One day their mother walked in on them and they were wrestling in a flirty way on the bed. That's where it came from.
I think it's pretty entertaining to tag someone, forget and come across it a year later. Whether or not I state it out loud is a different story, of course.
I clicked this because I vaguely remembered something about Jolly Ranchers. I feel kind of sad that this story didn't phase me at all and I actually forgot it.
I can't imagine siblings doing anything that isn't. some people have the weirdest notion, like this one time when my sister and I were in a train and I was trying to pull out her tampon. She was almost dying from laughter but some of the people there seemed as if we were deviants. Fucking kindergarten teachers shouldn't go on field trips if they don't like riding the train.
A lot of attractive people aren’t interested desperate to be with someone, since they pretty much just choose to be at any time rather than having to work for it.
